Once again we had a brillant turn out for Parkrun on Sunday with 31 runners and walkers joining in and having fun!. Although the weather wasnt as nice as it has been lately, everyone enjoyed it and there was smiles all round!.
This week, 6 PBs were achieved at junior Parkrun!. Congratulations to: Jonathan, Esmai, Amelia, Niall, Miles and Amy. Well done to you all!.
Sadly this week we had one participant who didnt receive a time after they had forgotten their barcode. We can scan your childs barcode from a parent or guardians mobile phone!.
Avenham Park Junior Parkrun welcomed 8 first timers this week!. A huge welcome to: Ava, Finley, Isabelle, James, Abigail, Emelia, Sophia, and Arthur. We hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will be back soon!.
This Sunday coming, the 25th September 2022 there is no Parkrun here at Preston due to another race event taking place. However fear not!... as it could be a chance to visit a new junior Parkrun instead!. A few local ones include: Worden Park, Park view juniors and Skelmersdale juniors.
We had 1 milestone this week, a huge congratulations to Harrison H who has ran 11 junior Parkruns (half marathon). You should be very proud!.
Thankyou to Robin Weston who was this weeks run director and to all of the volunteers who took time out to attend and take part in the event. Our rota is looking a little bare for the next few weeks so if you would like to volunteer please drop us a email or send us a Facebook message!.
This week is my 25th volunteer Parkrun role and i just wanted to say a huge thankyou to all the volunteers, parents/guardians and children for making me feel so welcome and a part of the Parkrun family. Avenham Park Junior Parkrun really is a special little Parkrun!.
